Patricia Bachiller is a full professor of Finance at the University of Zaragoza (UZ). She has taught courses in financial economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration since 2006. Her PhD dissertation on Privatization received the PhD Award from the Telefónica Chair of the UZ (2009). She obtained the Highly Commended Award winner of the 2009 Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Award in the category of “Management and governance” and was a finalist of the Award “Premio Estudios Financieros CEF” in 2015 and the Award Emerald/EMRBI Business Research Award for Emerging Researchers in 2013.
 
She has been a visiting researcher in several European universities: University of Canterbury (United Kingdom), University of Tampere (Finland) and University of Siena (Italy).
